ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A WAY TO DO SOME VOLUNTEERING OR COMMUNITY SERVICE?

Saco Meals Program could use your help!!!

We are always in need of volunteers!!   There are opportunities to help on Monday and Thursday mid-day and early evenings and on Monday early morning.  You can volunteer for a just an hour or longer if you prefer.  Our current volunteers range from young teens to young seniors. 

CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Monday early mornings (7:15-8:00 am):
    • Assist with unloading, sorting, and storing deliveries received from Good Shepherd Food Bank and Shaw’s
  • Thursday Early Afternoon: (12:00 – 2:30pm)
    • Assist with setting up hall for the night meal
    • Help to set up kitchen for prep team and cooks
  • Thursday Afternoons: (4:45 pm -6pm)
        • Help clean up kitchen areas
        • Assist with washing pots and pans in kitchen

Thursday  Co-Coordinator  (12pm – 6pm)– This is a critical position in the program and the responsibilities include coordinating all activities required to prepare and serve meals on Thursdays. Key tasks include supervising and assisting volunteers, coordinating with cooks, and overseeing the preparation and serving of the meal. Will interface directly with Program Manager.
